Built for −40°C.
Engineered for the grid.
A 314Ah semi-solid LFP cell that delivers more than 80% of rated capacity at −40°C discharge and accepts charge down to −20°C — purpose-built for cold-climate energy storage, telecom backup, and industrial deployments where standard LFP loses half its capacity in winter.
The cold makes
standard cells useless.
Standard LFP cells stop discharging at −10°C and cannot accept charge below 0°C — making half a year of operation impossible for northern energy storage, telecom backup, and grid-scale deployments. The LTC-314C retains operation across the full deployment temperature range.

Built for the grid.
Engineered for the cold.
The LTC-314C is a grid-scale storage cell — same 314Ah prismatic format as mainstream BESS deployments, but operable across the full deployment temperature range of northern, high-altitude, and arctic environments.
Cold-Climate BESS
Grid-scale and utility-scale battery energy storage in regions where standard LFP loses up to half its winter capacity — keeping wind, solar, and frequency-regulation systems operational year-round.
- Wind + solar pairing in northern continental climates
- Grid frequency regulation, peak shaving, time-shifting
- Commercial & industrial behind-the-meter storage
- BESS containers deployed in Canada, Northern US, Scandinavia, Northern Asia
Northern Telecom Backup
5G and 4G tower backup systems in cold-climate regions where lead-acid batteries fail in 2–3 winters and standard LFP can't charge below 0°C — eliminating costly winter site visits.
- Off-grid and unmanned tower sites
- Northern 5G rollout: Canada, Alaska, Scandinavia, Russia
- Lead-acid to LFP replacement programs
- Edge data center backup at high latitude
Mining, Oil and Gas Sites
Energy storage at remote arctic and sub-arctic mining, oil, and gas sites — pairing with diesel generation for fuel savings, peak shaving, and zero-emission operation windows.
- Diesel hybrid peak shaving on remote sites
- Alaskan and Canadian oil & gas field power
- Mining haul truck charging infrastructure
- Frontier site microgrid integration
Microgrid and Research Stations
Off-grid microgrids and polar research infrastructure — where supply chains are seasonal, maintenance windows are short, and battery failure means months without power.
- Remote village and indigenous community microgrids
- Polar research stations (Arctic & Antarctic)
- Emergency response & disaster relief power
- Military forward operating bases in cold theatres

Half a year of
frozen capacity.
Northern energy storage operators lose months of operation each winter because standard LFP wasn't built for the cold. The LTC-314C was. Request the full datasheet, the validated test reports, or an engineering sample for bench evaluation.
