Product Details:

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene, consisting solely of carbon and fluorine atoms. Compared with Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) binder, the PTFE binder offers better chemical and thermal stability due to its stable –CF₂–CF₂– structure. It is particularly suitable for applications in alkaline environments, where PVDF tends to degrade significantly through dehydrofluorination.

The PTFE binder is widely used in the preparation of electrode materials for batteries, fuel cells, and supercapacitors. Studies have shown that supercapacitors utilizing PTFE binders can deliver enhanced capacity and improved cycling performance.
