As a metal-free ceramic, it resists a wide range of solvents and strong acids and alkalis, and withstands impact (collision resistance).

The XN-MJ-AL Alumina Grinding Jar is a mold-formed alumina (aluminum oxide) ceramic jar for ball-mill grinding. Its inner and outer walls are extremely smooth, so material does not stick to the walls during grinding. As a metal-free ceramic, it resists a wide range of solvents, withstands strong acids and alkalis, and offers good collision (impact) resistance along with strong oxidation resistance — making it well suited to chemically aggressive and contamination-sensitive samples. The bottom is formed with a large R-angle to reduce material sinking and build-up while grinding, supporting high grinding efficiency and a long service life. The jar is supplied with a matching lid, and sizes can be customized to suit the customer’s mill and batch requirements.
