Slurry Filter XN-FT-500mL
SKU: XN-FT-500mL
Slurry Filter XN-FT-500mL is a compact benchtop vacuum filtration unit designed for laboratory removal of hard particles from lithium-ion battery slurries. Built entirely in SUS304 stainless steel with a 500 mL filtration chamber, it removes coarse contaminants larger than approximately 124 μm to protect downstream coating quality.
The unit is supplied with a 150-mesh standard screen — separate screens are provided for cathode and anode slurries — and accepts optional finer screens up to and including 1000-mesh on request. Vacuum reaches −80 kPa via an integrated air pump rated at 12 L/min, and the large screen area keeps pressure drop low for extended service life.

Equipment Type: Benchtop Vacuum Slurry Filtration Unit
Product Code: XN-FT-500mL
Brand: Xnergy
Product Introduction:
Slurry Filter XN-FT-500mL is a compact benchtop vacuum filtration unit designed for laboratory removal of hard particles from lithium-ion battery cathode and anode slurries. Built entirely in SUS304 stainless steel, the unit removes coarse contaminants larger than approximately 124 μm to prevent surface defects and coating non-uniformities in downstream electrode coating. A 500 mL filtration chamber and a large screen area keep pressure drop low for extended service life.
Key Features:
High filtration accuracy down to approximately 124 μm
Separate filtration screens supplied for cathode and anode slurries
All-SUS304 stainless steel construction — corrosion-resistant, easy to clean
Large screen area minimizes pressure drop and extends service life
Standard 150-mesh screen; optional finer meshes (up to and including 1000-mesh) available on request
Integrated vacuum pump (12 L/min, −80 kPa)
Compact benchtop footprint (5 kg)

Application Areas:
XN-FT-500mL is suitable for:
Removing hard particles and coarse contaminants from lithium-ion battery cathode slurries before coating
Removing hard particles from anode slurries before coating
Laboratory and R&D slurry preparation workflows where coating defects from oversize particles must be minimized
Maintenance:
Clean the equipment regularly with a soft cloth lightly moistened with alcohol
Lubricate moving parts periodically to ensure smooth operation
If the equipment is not used for an extended period, clean the moving surfaces and apply a protective anti-rust coating
Periodically inspect screws, nuts, pins, and other fasteners to prevent loosening
Safety Notes:
Do not place hands or other body parts near moving components or work-zone areas during operation
Operation should be performed by a single trained operator to avoid accidental injury
Disassembly should only be performed by qualified technicians
Specifications are provided for reference and may be adjusted to suit specific process requirements. Custom mesh sizes are available on request.
Note: Specifications listed above are typical and for reference only. Actual filtration performance depends on slurry viscosity, solid content, particle size distribution, and operating conditions. XN-FT-500mL fits between slurry mixing and electrode coating in the workflow: hard particles or agglomerates above ~124 μm that would otherwise cause coating streaks or pinholes are removed here. Typical upstream mixers feeding this filter include the benchtop Planetary Vacuum Mixer XN-PVM-500mL for laboratory batches and the bladeless XN-PVMC-300mL for contamination-sensitive samples. Filtered slurry then proceeds to coating — see the Automatic Film Coater XN-VC-300 for benchtop coating or the Slot-Die Coating System XN-SDC for higher-precision wet-film control. For active materials whose slurries benefit from this filtration step, see our Cathode Materials and Anode Materials.
