Name: Heated Motorized Horizontal Roller Press XN-HRPH-200
Equipment Type: Laboratory Heated Motorized Horizontal Gear-Driven Roller Press for Hot Calendering of Battery Electrodes (200 mm Sheet Width)
Product Code: XN-HRPH-200
Product Introduction:
The Heated Motorized Horizontal Roller Press XN-HRPH-200 is designed for motorized rolling of battery materials, small quantities of precious metals (gold, silver), and non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminum) under controlled temperature conditions in laboratory environments. It is particularly suitable for the thinning and densification of clean-energy material lithium-ion battery electrode sheets. With adjustable rolling temperature up to 130 °C and digital temperature display, the XN-HRPH-200 enables hot calendering — useful for material systems where temperature improves coating adhesion, electrode density, or sheet uniformity. The XN-HRPH-200 supports a wider sheet width than the XN-HRPH-100 and XN-HRPH-150 — up to 200 mm — making it well-suited for laboratory work with wider electrode sheets.
Main Features:
- Heated rolling with adjustable temperature — rolling temperature is adjustable with digital display
- Hard rollers with chrome-plated surface — hardness up to HRC62, with rust-resistant chrome plating
- Transparent safety guard — safer operation during heated rolling
- Horizontal roller layout — convenient for strip and sheet material feeding
- Gear-mesh drive for paired-roller compression
- Adjustable sheet thickness and speed — refined and aesthetically pleasing industrial design
- Motorized operation — enables automated rolling
- Compact footprint — easy and flexible operation for laboratory use

Application Areas:
- Lithium-ion battery electrode sheet thinning and densification — hot calendering at controlled temperatures up to 130 °C, sheet widths up to 200 mm
- Clean-energy battery material laboratory hot-rolling experiments where temperature improves electrode density or adhesion
- Coin-cell, pouch-cell, and prismatic-cell laboratory electrode preparation
- Small-quantity precious metal hot rolling — gold, silver, and similar precious metals
- Non-ferrous metal hot rolling — copper, aluminum, and similar non-ferrous strip materials
- Laboratory calendering applications where heated rolling provides material-property advantages over ambient-temperature rolling
Recommended Operating Procedure:
1. Place the XN-HRPH-200 on a stable laboratory floor or workstation with adequate working space, good lighting, and clearance for the transparent safety guard; connect the power supply per local electrical standards. 2. Power on the unit and verify the motor, gear-drive mechanism, heating elements, digital temperature display, gap adjustment, and transparent safety guard are all in good condition and operating normally. 3. Set the target rolling temperature on the digital temperature controller (within ambient–130 °C); allow the heated rollers to reach and stabilize at the setpoint. 4. Set the target roller gap (within 0–2 mm) according to the desired wet film thickness. 5. Place the electrode sheet (or other strip material, ≤ 200 mm wide) between the two horizontally-placed heated rollers, ensuring the transparent safety guard is closed. 6. Start the motor; both rollers rotate at feed speeds within the 0–40 mm/s range, performing paired-roller hot compression. 7. As the calendered material exits the rollers, support it gently to avoid wrinkling or bending; allow the material to cool before further handling. 8. If multiple calendering passes are required to reach the target final thickness, gradually reduce the roller gap between passes and repeat the procedure. 9. After use, allow the heating system to cool, then power off the unit; clean the roller surfaces with a soft, clean cloth to remove any residual electrode material. Inspect the roller surface, gears, motor, heating elements, and digital temperature display periodically.
Maintenance:
- Frequently wipe the machine with a soft cloth dampened with alcohol to keep it clean
- Lubricate moving parts with oil to keep movement smooth
- If the machine will not be used for an extended period, wipe down the surface of moving components and apply a protective rust-prevention oil
- Periodically inspect screws, nuts, pins, and other fasteners across all parts of the machine to prevent loosening, avoiding equipment-quality issues and personal-safety incidents
Packaging & Storage:
The XN-HRPH-200 ships fully assembled with two Φ96 mm hard-chrome-plated rollers (horizontal layout), gear-drive mechanism, electric motor, integrated heating system with digital temperature controller (ambient–130 °C), transparent safety guard, gap-adjustment mechanism, and frame. Store on a stable laboratory floor or shelf in a clean, dry environment, away from corrosive atmospheres and moisture. Disconnect the power supply when the equipment is not in active use. After each use, allow the heating system to cool to room temperature, then clean the roller surfaces, gears, and frame; apply rust-prevention oil to the roller surfaces if the machine will not be used for an extended period. Inspect the rollers, gears, motor, heating elements, digital temperature display, transparent safety guard, and gap-adjustment mechanism periodically for wear, contamination, or signs of degradation.
Safety:
For research and industrial laboratory use only. During operation, do not insert hands or any other body parts into the roller-engagement area or any moving components to prevent personal injury. Do not touch the heated rollers, roller surfaces, or sheet material immediately after the run — surface temperatures up to 130 °C can cause burns. Always operate the machine with the transparent safety guard in place; the guard provides protection from rotating rollers and heated surfaces. Operation by two or more persons simultaneously is not allowed to avoid accidental injury. External (third-party) technical personnel and unauthorized persons must not disassemble the equipment under any circumstances. Always wear appropriate PPE (safety glasses, high-temperature gloves, lab coat, close-fitting sleeves) when operating the heated roller press. Keep loose clothing, hair, and jewelry away from the rotating rollers, gears, and motor. When handling battery electrode sheets that may have absorbed solvent residues or contain reactive materials, wear chemical-resistant gloves and operate in a well-ventilated area. Press the emergency stop or power off the unit immediately if any binding, unusual resistance, abnormal motor sound, smoke, or damage to the material is observed. Allow the heating system to cool to room temperature before any cleaning, maintenance, or component replacement. Disconnect the power supply before any service work. Refer to the included user manual for complete safety and operating instructions.
Note: Specifications listed above are typical and for reference only. Actual performance depends on the specific electrode formulation, coated film thickness, target final thickness, target electrode density, rolling temperature setpoint, feed speed, and operator technique — consult published literature and our technical team for guidance on specific hot calendering protocols.
