Initial Cleaning:
A protective anti-rust oil may be present on the die when it leaves the factory. Before first use, wipe the die with a cloth lightly moistened with alcohol. Insert a suitable sheet into the feed opening and make several test cuts, then make several cuts with paper before normal operation. Black coloration around the die is part of the normal manufacturing process.
