Product Introduction

Lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF₆) is the dominant electrolyte salt in commercial lithium-ion batteries, used in virtually every cylindrical, prismatic, and pouch cell in production today. Its combination of high ionic conductivity, good electrochemical stability window, and compatibility with the Al current collector at high voltage makes it the benchmark salt against which all alternatives are measured. LiPF₆ is moisture-sensitive — trace water triggers hydrolysis to generate HF, which attacks both electrodes and the SEI — so strict moisture control during handling and storage is essential.
